The "Champagne" of Teas

Tea connoisseurs will find Formosa Oolong, to be a rather unique tea. The leaves are carefully selected from individual smaller Taiwanese tea farms in northern growing regions and hand-picked once a year when flavour is at its peak.

Oolong tea is often likened to a “champagne” taste because it has complex and sophisticated flavors.

Loose Leaf or Tea Bags?

Choosing between loose leaf tea and tea bags is not an easy decision. Tea bags are convenient, but they come with a cost. When using tea bags there is the added expense of packaging, which translates into carbon emissions when making the product available to you.

Loose leaf teas have no packaging needed because it comes in a reusable container that can be used over and over again! It's also more economical as well- 150 grams of loose leaf tea will brew up to 45-60 cups while a box of 24 tea bags only yields about 18-24 cups.

What is micro tea farm?

If you are a tea lover, then chances are you have considered what it would be like to own your very own micro-tea farm. But do you know exactly what this entails? A micro-tea farm is a small scale plantation that produces only high quality teas that go well with food and drinks.

This type of farming is better because the plants are grown in an environment where they can grow in their natural state without using any pesticides or artificial fertilizers. This makes for healthier plants and ultimately healthier teas.

The "Black Dragon"

Oolong tea is one of the most popular types of Taiwanese tea, and it has a rich history that dates back hundreds of years. The name “oolong” comes from Wu dialect in China where o- means black while long or lóng refers to dragon. This type of Chinese tea can be traced all the way back to Fujian province in southeast China which is also known as Taiwan's birthplace for oolong tea due to its popularity there. From harvesting leaves by hand on small mountain farms with family members who have been doing this trade for generations, fermenting them into loose leaf form in bamboo baskets over time, and then packaging each batch with care; these are just some steps involved in crafting a  single batch of the highest quality Taiwna oolong.
